Legendary Soviet cosmonaut Alexei Leonov, the first man to walk in space, passed away at the age of 85 after a lengthy illness, an informed source told Interfax.
“Regrettably, Alexei Arkhipovich [Leonov] has passed away,” the source said.
Leonov was the 11th Soviet cosmonaut.
